76. conaster (kə-năs'tər)

  1. a. (n.) Literally: with star, antonym to disaster. The fortunate outcome of an almost imminent disaster; the sensation of a catastrophe narrowly averted and later remembered from the vantage point of safety.

    Examples:
    There were several conasters in my life that I cannot recall without thanking God for his undeserved mercy.

    You were born under a lucky star. This conaster is an amazing mixture of chance and miracle.

  1. a. (adj.) Having the nature of a conaster, causing great relief. Antonym to disastrous.

    Example: I had a conastrous experience after being caught in a storm while windsurfing.

  1. a. (adj.) Behaving immaturely or foolishly. Also: concoctuously

  1. a. (n.) One who gainsays another person (contradicts them) primarily to make them look foolish, unwise, uncool, or otherwise bad.

    Example: "Yeah, I was wrong, but you don't have to be such a contradick about it."

  1. a. (v.) To make conversation. An uncommon phrase used to suggest the start of a conversation while making others believe one is smarter than they truely are.

    Example: Excuse us while we escape to the vestibule and conversate for a short time.

  1. a. (n.) Any variation on a company or product name created with the intent to mock or shun it.

    Example: Some corporashuns include: Internet Exploder by Microshaft, Home Cheap-o, Northworst Airlines.

  1. a. (n.) A topic one continues to milk over and over because they've run out of other things to say.

    Example: "Great weather we're having. Just can't get over how sunny it is." "Yeah..." "So, it's not too hot, just bright. I love that." "..."

  1. a. (n.) A furry crustacean characterized by fluffy long ears and menacing-looking pincers.

  1. a. (n.) The crackers that are found under the aluminum or plastic pouch when one finishes a package.

  1. a. (n.) Condition of the brain to cease functioning mid-sentence, frequently occurring during important meetings where one must impress others, leaving the user of said brain with a blank stare.
