  1. a. (n.) A gathering in which attendees leave more confused than when they arrived.
  2. b. (n.) Confusing introductory instruction concerning a new situation.

    Example: Disorientation for incoming students will be at 2:34pm.

52. disremember (dĭs'rĭ-məm'bər)

  1. a. (v.) To remember something incorrectly.

    Example: I disremembered what time it happened; I told you it happened at 2:00pm, but it really happened at 12:00am.

53. distashion (dĭs-tăsh'ən)

  1. a. (n.) Someone's poor fashion sense.

    Example: She was wearing a pink top and a red skirt -- it was such a distashion!

54. dject (dē-jĕkt)

  1. a. (v.) The overwhelming urge of a music connoisseur to wait until the end of the currently playing song before changing the song or ejecting the compact disc.

    Example: Just wait for a moment while I dject this CD and put on something else.

55. docuphobia (dŏc'ū-fō'bē-ə)

  1. a. (n.) The fear of using documentation, usually resulting from some previous traumatic event such as programming a VCR.

56. dogelation (dŏg'ē-lā'shən)

  1. a. (n.) The ridiculously enthusiastic joy with which one's canine friend greets oneself at the door, expressed by tail wagging, running in circles, spreading dog germs across one's face with its tongue, and the like.

  1. a. (n.) The giant nut on the side of a fire hydrant.

  1. a. (n.) Any spirit that decides to haunt someplace stupid, such as your septic tank.

  2. b. (v.) To smack (one's head) in a dumbfounded manner.

  1. a. (adj.) Stupid.

    Examples:
    You're such a donkey person.

    Look at that donkey donkey.

  1. a. (n.) Bodily waste removal of the second variety.

62. door slinky (dōr slĭng'kē)

  1. a. (n.) The springy device attached to the back of a door that prevents the door from marring the wall.

63. doork (dürk)

  1. a. (n.) One who attempts to enter through an exit and exit through an enter. Frequntly achieved by either pushing on a "PULL" or pulling on a "PUSH". Bonus if one doesn't realize until some time after one has pushed or pulled really hard.
  2. b. (n.) dōrk. The jerk who, after a crowd has developed around a locked door, feels the need to try it himself, just to be sure.

64. dopeler effect (dōp'lər ĭ-fĕkt')

  1. a. (n.) The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.
  2. b. (n.) The tendancy of ideas to seem smarter immidiately before you say them, and thus branding you an idiot.

65. dostinate (dŭst'ə-nāt')

  1. a. (v.) To tell someone not to do something when one has not tried it themselves and does not know what it's like.

    Example: Joe: "Don't study biomechanics." Tom: "Don't dostinate me! You've never studied biomechanics in your life!"

66. dotbomb (dŏt-bŏm)

  1. a. (n.) An internet venture doomed to failure.
  2. b. (n.) A presentation where a doomed company is touted as a sure success.

67. dotcomedy (dŏt-kŏm'ĭ-dē)

  1. a. (n.) An internet venture boasting a hilarious failure.
  2. b. (n.) A presentation where a doomed company is touted as a sure success; sometimes followed by evil laughter coming from a competing company.

68. dotcommie (dŏt-kŏm'ē)

  1. a. (n.) Any ultra-liberal anti-American blogger.

69. dotcomword (dŏt-kŏm-wûrd)

  1. a. (n.) Any word made up in attempts to rank higher for the term which it was made to describe, and to steal traffic from the websites to which it was submitted.

    Example: Dooderspoodle - The scoop used to clean up cat litter. See dooderspoodle.com for more information. (This is just an example dotcomword, dooderspoodle.com doesn't really exist... yet.)

70. douchehalent (dü'shə-lənt)

  1. a. (adj.) The uncanny ability to call one a douche with such perfect timing as to greatly enhance the effect of the insult.

    Example: Man 1: "What a nice day!" Man 2: "It's raining, you douche! What in tarnation are you talkin' about, nice day?!?!" Man 1: "Your insult cuts me deep, perhaps to the bone. How very douchehalent of you."

71. downlifting (dăün-lĭft'ĭng)

  1. a. (adj.) Describing something that causes a lowering or dropping. Opposite of uplifting; synonym of depressing.

72. downpause (dăün'pôz)

  1. a. (n.) The split second of dry weather experienced when driving under an overpass or in a tunnel during a storm.

73. Dr. Pepsier (dŏk'tər pĕp'sē'ər)

  1. a. (n.) The result of mixing Dr. Pepper and Pepsi.

74. dracosaurus (drā'kō-sôr'əs)

  1. a. (n.) A fictional, flightless dragon native to other universes.
  2. b. (n.) The dinosaur from which mythological dragons descended.

75. dragonass (drăg'ŏn-ăs)

  1. a. (n.) An old chinese disease whose symptoms causes workers to be slackers.
