  1. a. (n.) One who frequently makes total misstatements in a different language.

    Example: Teacher: "Repeat after me, 'Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?'" Student: "'Cuando et su cupleamos?' Oh, I am such a noggalien!"

28. noggin'noddin (nŏg'ĭn nŏd'ĭn)

  1. a. (v.) A periodic bobbing of one's head when one is about to doze off, often recurring in regular succession either in a rhythmical or intermittent pattern; a sign that one is too inactive or tired to stay awake.

    Examples:
    While driving late at night, Jeff started noggin'noddin

    During a really boring class, sally couldn't help noggin'noddin.

  1. a. (interj.) An expressing of being disgruntled.

    Example:
    Bobby: That project is due today.
    Jean: Noit!

  1. a. (adj.) Lacking an index; describing a book that is hard to navigate due to the lack of an index.

    Example: "Where is the index in this book?" "It must be a nonedex book."

  1. a. (n.) A conversation between two or more people of absolutely no value, such as a discussion of the weather.

  1. a. (n.) Someone who is a beginner to a particular activity; most commonly used for people new to online games and unaware of gamers' nettiquette.

    Example: Ninja: "Someone's begging for a free weapon." Wizard: "Don't mind him, he's just a noob and doesn't know better yet."

  1. a. (n.) The keen ability to know what time of day it is based on a feeling.

  1. a. (n.) A reminder of one's past brought on by a familiar or more recently unfamiliar smell.

36. not-a-date (nŏt-ə-dāt)

  1. a. (adj.) An activity that closely resembles a date in every way except that it is not actually a date. A not-a-date activity can either be a purely platonic occurrence or can occur with a not-boyfriend or not-girlfriend.

    Examples:

    Kevin and Francine went to enjoy a not-a-date night at the movies.

  1. a. (n.) A person who behaves in every way like one's boyfriend, but is not actually one's boyfriend at all. These people will gladly take an offer for a not-a-date activity.

  1. a. (v.) To exit an area.

  1. a. (n.) Personal bodyguards of the Pope; any nun trained in martial arts.

    Example: "Don't get too close to the Pope, or the nunjas will attack."

  1. a. (v.) To inch closer to a stoplight thinking that will cause it to change quicker.
