  1. a. (n.) One who uses alcohol to excess to escape his rigid Catholic upbringing.

    Example: It was religion that drove him to the drink; he's a terrible alcotholic.

2. allapa (ăl'ə-pă)

  1. a. (v.) A small slap from the Pope or other highly religious figure.

3. be-I-Jesus (bē-ī-jē'zəs)

  1. a. (interj.) An expression of doing something miraculously amazing.

    Example: I made water turn to wine! Be-I-Jesus!

4. catastrotree (kăt-ăs'trə-trē)

  1. a. (n.) When a cat or kitten knocks over or pulls down a Christmas tree.

    Example: My cat, Jewel, caused a huge catastrotree.

5. Chreaster (krē'stər)

  1. a. (n.) A person who attends their place of worship only on major holidays, such as Christmas and Easter.

    Example: The Chreasters are coming! The Chreasters are coming!

6. Chrindow shopping (krĭn'dō shŏp'ĭng)

  1. a. (n.) Literally Christmas window shopping. An activity during the Christmas season where one only browses for Christmas gifts rather than buying. This often involves making purchases for one's self prior to considering one's friends and family.

    Example: Jerry thought, "Merry Christmas to me," as he began his Chrindow shopping.

7. Chriskwanzakuh (krĭs'kwän'zə'kə)

  1. a. (n.) The joint celebration of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Combines all three major and semi-major holiday wishes into one big holiday wish.

8. deifenestration (dē'ĭ-fĕn'ĭ-strā'shən)

  1. a. (n.) To throw all talk of God out the window.

9. DIOS (dē'ōs)

  1. a. (n.) The one true operating system.

10. eastroturf (ēs'trō-tûrf')

  1. a. (n.) The artificial grass in Easter baskets.

11. glasphemy (glăs'fə-mē)

  1. a. (v.) To perform blasphemy towards the god of glass.

12. God Mob (Gŏd mŏb)

  1. a. (n.) A large group of people who gather in a (usually predetermined) location, pray a brief prayer, give a shout of praise to the Lord, and then quickly disperse. Any group of people who attend a religious service.

13. Godvertising (gŏd'vər-tī'zĭng)

  1. a. (n.) Any state sanctioned public display intended to sell the idea of a supreme or omnipresent being.

    Example: The phrase, "In God We Trust", printed on American currency, the Ten Commandments displayed in state institutions, and the display of crèches at village halls at Christmas time all show the Godvertising passed down from our forefathers.

14. hollymonger (hŏl'ē-mŭng'gər)

  1. a. (n.) A person who forcibly insists that others participate in festivities and/or holiday activities.

    Example: I don't want to do "secret-Santa" this year, you hollymonger!
  2. b. (v.) To emphatically insist that others have as much fun as one is (or should be) having.

    Example: I stopped by the office party because I needed to pick up my check and my boss wouldn't stop hollymongering me.

15. hollymongering (hŏl'ē-mŭng'gər-ĭng)

  1. a. (v.tr.) Insisting forcibly that others participate in festivities and/or holiday activities.

    Example: The party was lifeless until Joe started hollymongering.

16. horobvioscope (hôr'ŏb-vē'ə-skōp')

  1. a. (n.) A horoscope prediction that is entirely obvious to the reader without needing to be told.

    Example: I had quite the horobvioscope on the Friday following the holiday. It basically told me that I'd end up goofing off during work. What else would you expect on a Friday after having the previous day off?

17. Islamikaze (ĭs-läm'ə-kä'zē)

  1. a. (n.) A Muslim who commits intentional suicide as a result of carrying out a terrorist attack.

18. Jesi (jē'zī')

  1. a. (n.pl.) More than one Jesus.

19. Jesuficated (gē-zə-fī-kāt'ĕd)

  1. a. (v.) To be Jesufied while everyone else gets off scot-free.

20. Jesufied (gē-zə-fīd)

  1. a. (v.in.) To be martyred. To take the wrap for something knowing they will get in the least amount of trouble.

    Example: Knowing his friends would get in more trouble than he, Ray Jesufied himself and told the police officer all the booze was his.

  1. a. (n.) A ghetto of a higher order than a simple ghetto.

  1. a. (n.) Bad or harmful karma.

23. kharmageddon (kär'mə-gĕd'n)

  1. a. (n.) When one is paid immediately for all the bad things one has done in one's life.

24. misanthropism (mĭs-ăn'thrə-pĭz'əm)

  1. a. (n.) The belief that humanity in general is rubbish; that humanity has a grim future; that people in general are evil and that one should stay away from them.

25. morical (môr'ĭ-kəl)

  1. a. (adj.) Possessing a strong moral value.

    Example: This movie is more morical than the last one we watched.
