26. dotcomword (dŏt-kŏm-wûrd)
- a. (n.) Any word made up in attempts to rank higher for the term which it was made to describe, and to steal traffic from the websites to which it was submitted.
Example: Dooderspoodle - The scoop used to clean up cat litter. See dooderspoodle.com for more information. (This is just an example dotcomword, dooderspoodle.com doesn't really exist... yet.)
27. e-touch (ē'tŭch)
- a. (n.) A method of staying in contact with friends by e-mail or other electronic devices.
Example: Hey, do you have my screen name so we can keep in e-touch?
28. ebanatic (ē-bā-năt'ĭk)
- a. (n.) An online bidder who bids relentlessly on an item until he wins without regard to the actual cost - Almost always bidding more than retail.
29. ebanipper (ē-bā-nĭp'ər)
- a. (n.) An online bidder whose bid is accepted at the last second of an auction; thus, depriving other bidders of their highly sought-after "beanie-baby" (or other ridiculous fad-of-the-month).
30. ebenzy (ē-bən'zē)
- a. (n.) A situation brought about by, or activity experienced by, a group of online bidders who, in a frenzied state, needlessly drive up the price of an auction item.
31. EGGS (ĕgz)
- a. (acro.) Electronically Generated Groups and Situations, such as smart mobs or bookcrossing groups, that use the web to foment their social bonds in real space and time.
Example: Do you participate in any EGGS? - Yes, I am a seasoned EGG'er.
32. emongous (ĭ-mŏng'gəs)
- a. (adj.) A large conglomeration, especially of companies, often through electronic media.
Examples:
Time-Warner and Microsoft have become emongous companies!
More loosely, "Johny's new TV is emongous!"
33. fauxfile (fō-fĭl)
- a. (n.) A profile on any of the internet dating sites with alluring content detailing a non-existent person to target a response from a specific or non-specific user.
Example: "I had a hunch my boyfriend was playing around on me. When he emailed my dating fauxfile, it confirmed it."
34. FCDVD (ĕf-sē-dē-vē-dē)
- a. (acro.) Floppy Compact Digital Versatile Disk; a small, square, bendable disk holding the same amount of data as a DVD.
35. femail (fē-māl)
- a. (n.) Nagging mail or email reminders.
36. geekening (gē'kən-ĭng)
- a. (v.) The process of becoming or likening to a geek.
37. geekgasm (gēk'găz'əm)
- a. (n.) A feeling of intense pleasure that occurs as a result of a nerdy experience.
Example: He had a geekgasm after receiving new software. - b. (v.) To experience a geekgasm.
Example: Eric geekgasmed after seeing Star Wars.
38. geekify (gēk'ə-fī)
- a. (v.) To turn someone to the geek side of the force - most often turning someone else into a geek through mentorship.
Example: Through great trials, I will geekify you, young padawan.
39. googlate (gü'gə'lāt)
- a. (v.) To enter random words into a search engine out of sheer boredom or curiosity.
40. iconoblast (ī'kŏn'ō'blăst)
- a. (v.) To punctuate one's instant message with an excess of icons.
41. iconoblaster (ī'kŏn'ō'blăs'tər)
- a. (n.) One who iconoblasts on a frequent basis.
42. ID10T (ī-dē-tĕn-tē)
- a. (adj.) Describes a computer "error," which is really user incompetence. Commonly used in computer circles.
Example: "Yeah, Ms. Wormwood made an ID10T mistake."
43. IMbiguity (ī-ĕm-bĭ-gyü'ĭ-tē)
- a. (n.) Ambiguity caused by the nature of instant messaging and its lack of tone, context, or other visual expressions.
44. imporntant (ĭm-pôrn'tnt)
- a. (adj.) Describing the type of documents that should be backed up prior to having work done on one's computer.
Example: I had to get all those imporntant astrology documents off my computer first.
45. Intenternet (ĭn-tĕnt'tər-nĕt')
- a. (n.) What the Internet was intended to be.
46. internet leech (ĭn'tər-nĕt' lēch)
- a. (n.) A person who uses only free AOL trial disks to access the internet, without ever paying for it.
47. Intpossibility (ĭnt'pŏs'ə-bĭl'ĭ-tĕ)
- a. (n.) Something that is a possible to do over the Internet.
48. iridiscance (ĭr'ĭ-dĭs'kəns)
- a. (n.) The property of CDs and DVDs that causes them to emit a spectrum pattern whenever a light is shined on them.
49. keybergoo (kē'bər-gō)
- a. (adj.) Used to describe the sticky keyboard of a computer or musical instrument after food, drink, or some other sticky substance is dropped on it.
Example: Are you sure this is a good brand? It certainly feels like a keybergoo keyboard to me.
50. leet (lēt)
- a. (adj.) Elite.
Example: That new source code is leet!
