1. adverteasement (ăd-vər-tēz'mənt)

  1. a. (n.) Any sexual representation used for the purpose of obtaining an individual or group's attention. Often used in media outlets.

2. ambisextrous (ăm'bĭ-sĕk'strəs)

  1. a. (adj.) Having the features of both sexes; bisexual; hermaphrodite.
  2. b. (adj.) The feeling towards a person who has a strong attachment or attraction towards an individual when that individual has no definitive romantic feelings towards the other.
  3. c. (adj.) In a romantic situation, the sense that one could say yes or no without feeling strongly in either direction.
  4. d. (adj.) ām'bĭ-sěk'strəs. Describing something that could be applied to either sex, such as a first name given to both boys and girls.

    Example: The name, Jules, is a little ambisextrous.

3. anticompanionize (ăn'tī-kəm-păn'yən-īz')

  1. a. (v.) One's constant rejection of their boyfriend's or girlfriend's companion animal, or generally hating their partner's cat or dog for absolutely no reason at all.

4. beer goggles (bîr gŏg'əls)

  1. a. (n.) A condition afflicting inebriated individuals, allowing mutual attraction between those who would ordinarily not be attracted.

5. beersightedness (bîr'sī'tĭd'nĭs)

  1. a. (n.) The eye condition developed after "last call" in the bar which makes members of the opposite sex more attractive than they were three hours earlier.

6. benefriend (bĕn'ə-frĕnd)

  1. a. (n.) A so-called friend with whom one partakes in devious activities, often stereotyped as sexually immoral acts, without fear of ruining the friendship and without any commitment. A friend with benefits.

7. bitsipookems (bĭt'sē-pü'kəms')

  1. a. (n.) An affectionate term used to address a loved one, usually a significant other.

8. box tonsils (bŏks tŏn'səls)

  1. a. (v.) The act of passionate, open mouthed French kissing; To make out.

9. boything (boi-thĭng)

  1. a. (n.) One of the male gender who believes they are a female's boyfriend, when in fact he is utterly despised by said female.

    Example: Claire, where's your creepy boything?

10. bridezilla (brīd-nĭl'ə)

  1. a. (n.) A bride in the months prior to her wedding. Typically, these brides to be have been spotted "coming out of the ocean" and "terrorizing Tokyo" so to speak.

    Example: If you were in the bridal party, you'd know just what an encounter with bridezilla is like. The rest of the world: they just better take cover.

11. discorsage (dĭs'kôr-säzh')

  1. a. (v.) Removal of a corsage.
  2. b. (v.) To remove decorative flowers from someone.

12. edutainjugal (ĕj´ə-tân´jə-gəl, ĕj´ə-tân´jü-gəl)

  1. a. (adj.) Salacious material presented on mass media as educational and consumed as entertainment by its audience.

13. ex (ĕks)

  1. a. (v.) To render outdated, make obsolete, relegate to the past.

    Examples:
    He exed his girlfriend and now feels lonely and almost desperate.

    Those prone to exing others are, most likely, ready to be exed.

14. fauxfile (fō-fĭl)

  1. a. (n.) A profile on any of the internet dating sites with alluring content detailing a non-existent person to target a response from a specific or non-specific user.

    Example: "I had a hunch my boyfriend was playing around on me. When he emailed my dating fauxfile, it confirmed it."

15. femme du jour (fěm də zhŏŏr)

  1. a. (n.) Literally woman of the day; The latest girlfriend of a man who, after his divorce, has been unable or unwilling to maintain a long-term relationship.

    Example: This is a picture of Steve and his femme du jour from October.

16. FIMS (fĭms)

  1. a. (acro.) Foot-In-Mouth Syndrome.

    Example: My boyfriend has a bad case of the FIMS.

17. Flakespeare (flāk'spîr)

  1. a. (n.) A person who thinks they are qualified to rewrite someone's work.

    Example: The latest Romeo and Juliet film was made by a bunch of Flakespeares.

18. foxymoron (fŏk'sē-môr'ŏn')

  1. a. (n.) A band name.
  2. b. (n.) A member of the opposite sex blessed with beauty and cursed with stupidity, whose presence causes contradictory feelings of attraction and repulsion.

19. foyeurism (foi'ər-ĭzm)

  1. a. (n.) An action born of curiosity in which the curious person lurks in the foyer for a family member to return from a date in hopes of spying on the good-night kiss; usually involving younger siblings and parents.

20. gidiot (gĭd'ē-ət)

  1. a. (n.) One who is giddy with love.
  2. b. (n.) One who is head over heels in love.

21. GPX (gē-pē-ĕks)

  1. a. (acro.) Global Positioning eX system; the habit of informing people where they've seen one's ex-lover. Women in particular seem to think seeing their significant other's ex is a reason in itself of contacting them. In this way one can track their ex's movement without actually spotting them.

22. guitarded (gĭ-tärd-ĕd)

  1. a. (adj.) One who owns a guitar and displays it prominently to make oneself appear more attractive, even though they have no idea how play.

23. heteronormative (hĕt'ə-rō'nôr'mə-tĭv)

  1. a. (adj.) An action which is deemed typical of heterosexuals.

    Example: Marriage is a heteronormative act.

24. infotainjugal (ĭn'fə-tān'jə-gəl)

  1. a. (adj.) Describing salacious material presented on mass media as informational and consumed as entertainment by its audience.

    Example: That PBS documentary on hormones in teenagers was really infotainjugal, wouldn't you say?

25. latersohinip (lā'shĭr-səh'ən-ĭp)

  1. a. (n.) A mixed-up relationship.
