1. abominaball (ə-bŏm'ə-nə-bôl)
- a. (n.) Any ball that has made its way into the interior of a greenhouse or home by exploiting the presence of an unopened window.
2. airdirt (âr-dûrt)
- a. (n.) A hanging plant that's been ignored for three weeks or more.
3. allergivate (ă'lĕrjĭvāt')
- a. (v.) The inevitable action of a cat or dog to constantly gravitate toward guests who are allergic to them.
Example: Bobby's cat loves his mother-in-law but she can't breathe in the same room as a cat.
4. alpopuck (ăl'pō-pŭk)
- a. (n.) Any empty dish pushed around the kitchen floor by a dog trying to get the last morsel.
5. aquadextrous (ak'wə-dek'strəs)
- a. (adj.) Possessing the ability to turn the bathtub faucet on and off with your toes.
6. backspubble (băk-spŭ'bəl)
- a. (n.) Dishwater that disappears down one drain of a double sink and comes up the other.
7. bathquake (bath'kwāk)
- a. (n.) The violent quake that rattles the entire house when the water faucet is turned to a certain point.
8. belly twister (bĕl'ē twĭs'tər)
- a. (n.) A plastic coated wire used to close a bag of bread or other twist-close item.
9. blithwapping (blīth'-wäp'ping)
- a. (v.) Using anything but a hammer to hammer a nail into the wall, such as shoes, lamp bases, doorstops, etc.

- a. (v.) To shake the snow off one's favorite tree or bush.

- a. (n.) The scratch plate on a matchbook.
12. bu-fly (bŭ-flī)
- a. (n.) A child's word for butterfly.

13. butter flutter (bŭt'ər flŭt'ər)
- a. (n.) A child's term for a butterfly.
- b. (n.) a butterfly or other insect that has wandered into one's buttered sandwich.
14. cabnicreep (kăb'nə-krĕp)
- a. (n.) The structural condition in which the closing of one kitchen cabinet causes another to open.
15. calbliterate (kăl-blĭt'ə-rāt')
- a. (v.tr.) To toy with something until it no longer works or is much worse than it originally was.
16. carperpetuation (kär'pər-pĕch'ü-āshən)
- a. (n.) The act, when vacuuming, of running over a string or a piece of lint at least a dozen times, reaching over and picking it up, examining it, then putting it back down to give the vacuum one more chance.

- a. (n.) Refers to a ridiculously early time in the morning when the roosters start to crow.

- a. (n.) The small piece of dust on the floor in the corner of the kitchen under the cabinet that refuses to be swept up or vacuummed.
21. clumfert (klum'fûrt)
- a. (n.) The invisible extra step at the top and bottom of a staircase. Usually materializes when one is carrying a large bag of groceries or some other large item that prevents one from seeing what is directly in front of them.
22. cutler (kŭt'lər)
- a. (pron.) A person who makes cutlery.

- a. (n.) An innate, acquired, or induced inability to pick the right piece of cutlery out of the entire set in a drawer every time one reaches in; often stricken with the result of choosing the worst-suited piece of cutlery contained in a drawer.
24. dishwater dysentery (dĭsh'wôt'ər dĭs'ən-tĕr'ē)
- a. (n.) An escape from doing chores, in which one finds oneself suddenly having to use the bathroom upon realizing or being told that it is his or her turn to clean up after dinner, specifically in reference to washing the dishes.
25. door slinky (dōr slĭng'kē)
- a. (n.) The springy device attached to the back of a door that prevents the door from marring the wall.
