- a. (interj.) An expression used to get the attention of another person.

Example: Putnam: A, you gonna eat that? Abe: No.
Note: While this is a valiant effort, the more common spelling of this word is 'eh' or 'aye'. Therefore, we cannot accept this into our list.
2. abandick (ə-băn'dĭk)
- a. (v.tr.) To leave a man mid-sexual intercourse, causing him much frustration and physical discomfort.
Example: She abandicked me right then and there, and I've not seen her since.
3. abandonmitt (ə-băn'dən-mĭt)
- a. (n.) The act of abruptly letting go of someone's hand before they anticipated it.
Example: She sought therapy because of her severe abandonmitt issues.

- a. (adj.) Something loathsome or unusually cruel perhaps associated with dire misfortune.

- a. (v.) A conversation, often face-to-face, held using a large concentration of acronyms, specifically acronyms used in text messaging, instant messaging, and online chatrooms.
Example: Brittany, Did you hear that acroconvo? They threw so many terms like OMG, LOL, SMH, and ROTFL around you could send a scrabble champion to the crazy house. Sarah: Do you realize you just turned this into an acroconvo by saying that?
10. adultish (ə-dŭlt'ĭsh)
- a. (adj.) Closely resembling an adult person.
Example: As the child grew up she became more adultish.
11. aeroma (âr-ō'ma)
- a. (n.) The odor emanating from an exercise room after an aerobics workout.

12. aeromortiphobia (âr'ə-môr'tə-fō'bē-ə)
- a. (v.) The fear of death while traveling by aircraft.
Example: The innocent victims on the two airplanes that crashed into the Twin Towers may have experienced momentary aeromortiphobia when they realized they were in fact, mortal creatures.
13. aerothanatophobia (âr'ə-thăn'ə-tō-fō'bē-ə)
- a. (v.) The fear of death while traveling by aircraft.
Example: George has a severe case of aerothanatophobia. We have to knock him out before we even reach the airport, then we wheel him into his seat and pray the drugs last longer than the flight.
14. affliction (ə-flĭk'shən)
- a. (n.) Distress, a condition of.

Example: The original submitter of this word came under an affliction of vocabulary, resulting in a lapse there of, and a new addition to the junkword pile.
15. alarmisist (ə-lärm'əs-ĭst)
- a. (n.) A person who causes by direct conflict or by interjecting false conflict in a situation to purposely cause alarm in others. Also known as an Eeyorist, akin to Winnie the Pooh's friend Eeyore.
16. alcohological (āl'kə-hô-lŏj'ĭ-kəl)
- a. (adj.) Things that seem logical only after consuming large amounts of alcohol.
Example: It was alcohological for her to run down the street naked in the snow.
17. alcolean (āl'kə-lēn)
- a. (n.) The angle of a drunk's body before they go into stagger mode.
Example: He attained 11 degrees of alcolean before swerving into the parking meter.
18. alcologic (ăl'kə-lŏj'ĭk)
- a. (n.) Logic that is only understood while one is inebriated. To justify everything by the use of alcohol as the basis for every problem, debate, or argument. Any attempt at making a logical statement while one is drunk; Often identified as fuzzy logic. A system of reasoning based on alcohol and often not involving reason.

- a. (v.) A small slap from the Pope or other highly religious figure.
20. aluminum ghetto (ə-lü'mə-nəm gĕt'ō)
- a. (n.) A term used to describe a trailer park, usually in a poor, unkempt condition. Often these trailer parks are occupied by working class people who often are seasonal employees and construction workers who build or work in swanky, high class resorts, hotels and restaurants, and whose residents and clientele are very affluent.

Example: The name, Jules, is a little ambisextrous.

- a. (v.) To play devil's advocate. Acting out ambivalence.
- b. (v.) To vacillate between two opposing desires, impulses or decisions.
Example: He's ambivalating about marrying Susie.
25. ambivulate (ām-bĭv'yə-lāt')
- a. (v.tr.) To pace around in an indecisive manner.
Example: Larry ambivulated around the hot dog stand as he debating purchasing a sample of its wares.
