(blăs'fə-mē'tər)
1. (n.) A meter used to measure how blasphemous a just-uttered statement was. It is generally created by holding one's arms in front of oneself with elbows bent at right angles so that the left hand rests on top of the right elbow, and the right hand is directly below the left elbow. The left hand is then raised in an arc, like the needle on a speedometer, to indicate the severity of the blasphemy just uttered.
