Definition of lingoist :.
(lĭng-gō'ĭst)
1. (n.) A specialist in the area of lingo terms. Often, these individuals lose touch with society purely because they refer to ordinary things using shortened phrases and acronyms.
Origins: While discussing a short name for a type of documentation, the term just rolled out off my tongue when I told my co-worker that I hate people who use lots of jargon.
Example: Have you ever spoken to Joe, the lingoist? I can't understand a single thing he's talking about.
